Why I built it
Letterboxd already holds the details worth showing about a film: when it was watched, the rating, sometimes a review. I wanted that diary on a Framer site without keeping a second copy up to date by hand.
How it works
Enter a public username, pick the fields and slug format, and import. The plugin reads the public RSS feed, with no login or scraping, and brings in titles, years, ratings, reviews, watch dates, posters and links. Later syncs add new entries and update existing ones.
What I learned
The feed only exposes roughly the last 50 entries, so the plugin never deletes anything that drops out of it. Each sync adds to a growing archive instead of mirroring a short window. Letterboxd also blocks requests from Framer’s plugin origin, so the published version goes through a tiny proxy that only forwards the feed and stores nothing.
